OH Shit Bad Sectors
..........................................................................................
So, after a long time a light appears in the dark scary night. He told me about the Seamap software. But it’s a little complicated, but not that….., first you must have to know about the types of the bad sectors which you are going to remove. There are two types of bad sectors commonly known:-
1. Logical Bad Sectors
2. Physical Bad Sectors
First we will carry on with the Logical Bad Sectors because these are the most commonly occurring Bad Sector. Logical Bad Sectors usually occurred due to different viruses, which engage the Hard Disk for a long time them usual, or due to electricity fluctuation or by restarting the computer randomly. I think that’s enough to know about these types of bad sectors.
Now the big deal, removal of these bad sectors. First and the foremost you must have the Seamap software because it is the most reliable bad sector removal software. After you get the software install it in your active partition. Wait, wait, wait not that quick you must create a backup of your valuable data in the Hard Disk before doing all of the above steps. Because Seamap will remove all the partitions in the Disk and u will loose all the data. So be careful. After that starts the Seamap, most of the people says that we have used the Seamap but unable to remove bad sectors. That is absolutely correct, they have used it but use it wrong, they forget to set the drive option.
To set the option type SD in the screen and press Enter this will open the Set Drive (SD) options. Then press 1 on the keyboard to select 1 or 0 to select the target drive. Wait the work is not finished yet, the most important step in it that most of the people forget is that to enable the drive writeable. For that press 2 from the keyboard this will show two option for you to select (Y/N) you must select N to enable writing on the Hard Disk. Now press Esc this step will bring you back to the Command Line screen.
Now, to perform Low Level Format press FD in the Command Line Prompt Screen and press Y to start the format. This will take hours depending upon the disk space. Let the Seamap do its work and you should relax after this tough job. When the format is over Format Over message is shown on the screen. This will end this task. Now use FDISK to make the partitions according to your needs and requirement.
